This is now the standard wallpaper on my iPhone. Lights – taken at a restaurant in Reykjavik. A wonderfully photogenic building, both from the inside and the outside. Lava Pebble – different beach, same idea. This blue wall with the chipped paint and the signs of which I’m not sure what they say can be found down at Reykjavik’s harbor.

They are the nicest animals that I’ve had the pleasure to meet in a long time. I love how the lines come together to give the house a great place in the photograph.
I first tried to capture this as a panorama, but then realized how amazing that cloud above it was, so I switched to a wide angle lens and captured it all. Icefall – falling water and cold make ice. This is now the standard wallpaper on my iPhone. Aerosol – the color contrast pulled me into this one. Ice – this is from inside the glacier cave, I loved the reflections the light from the cave entrance made on the ice walls. This is a good example of that, where the sky is darker than the clouds in front of it.
Horse – the Iceland horses are legendary. They are also curious, so as a photographer you have to make sure you don’t get your lens chewed on. There are so many facets of this building that I could have spent an entire day just there. Path – a small and winding path near the Reykjavik cargo port.
That’s something I wanted to do since my early childhood.
When I took this picture I literally thought “this would make a lovely wallpaper”: Lagoon – this glacier lagoon is located in Skjaftafell national park. Iceland – one of the sights that you get from Reykjavik’s bay on a beautiful day. This contrast extends almost everywhere, from the geology to the weather and to the landscape.

Another one that I knew would make a great wallpaper. Lava Pebble – different beach, same idea. The blue light 2690×1050 from the walls was spectactular. Pebble – the entire beach was composed of small lava pebbles, with the odd differently-colored pebble in between.
Surf – one morning during cold and windy weather we ended up at a beach with tall waves and even more amazing surf. Aurora – one evening, the sky cleared hx and the earth’s magnetic field dropped enough for the Aurora Borealis to show. Waterfall – the first time of my life that I was able to walk behind a waterfall. Lights – taken at a restaurant in Reykjavik.
It was filled with glacier ice, birds and seals.
Iceland 2 – also taken from Reykavik’s bay. Each of these pictures comes with its very own story.

I love the architecture and the blackened concrete, reminding of lava. Harpa – the big concert house at Reykjavik harbor. Cloud – I was constantly amazed by the cloud formations an contrast inversions that the Icelandic sky would present.
Trees – a quick shot taken on a photo walk, during a wonderful sunset that took much longer than the sunsets back home. 2960×10550 – one of the mountains around Reykjavik.

This 2960×10050 wall with the chipped paint and the signs of which I’m not sure what they say can be found down at Reykjavik’s harbor. Main Hall – taken inside the Harpa, Reykjavik’s big and prominent concert hall. The water spray also gets over your camera and requires you to constantly wipe the lens.
